Meigs Inc. Wins NFBA Building of the Year Award
Ken Meigs, a Wick builder, had a tight turnaround time to build retail shops and restrooms for the Mount Olympus water and theme park in Wisconsin Dells.
In a little more than two months, Meigs had to erect 376 - foot - long structure with widths from 30 to 72 feet and heights from 14 to 47 feet.
The building width featured nine separate jogs, false front mansards as high as 40 feet on three sides of the building, and the structure incorporates an existing 70 x 110 concrete structure.
The foam facade, fabricated by owner Nick Laskaris, was designed to convey an ancient Greek appearance.
